Maiden Voyage -Just n Time - Orange Beach, AL

Warm weather and warm waters mean it's time to go fishing and boating. This season, our customers will ride in comfort aboard this 28 foot lean, mean fishing machine. Yesterday was the first day for us to get her wet and test all the new gadgets. Our previous boat had adequate technology to navigate, find fish and hold over them for our customers to get bent. The new boat has far superior technology with the Raymarine Axiom units. These units will allow us to get even more detail above our favorite fishing spots. The larger boat means larger fuel capacity allowing us to offer a greater variety of fishing adventures.

On Friday, I got to spend some time aboard the boat with Chris and Alex of Bluewater Ship Stores in Foley, AL. They showed me the basics of all the new electronics and how they could benefit me and my customers. All I can say is, once you have a boat with autopilot, you will never go back.

After dropping them off at the dock, I picked up my daughter and her grandparents to take them for a cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) then pulled up to Robinson Island to hang out for a bit. Once school was out, My sister-in-law, niece, nephew and other daughter drove down for a boat ride and island hop.

While conditions were not good enough to take a ride on the Gulf, they were decent enough to ride down the ICW. One of the major improvements on this boat was the smooth dry ride even in choppy conditions.
